Deer in our yards...
No, we have not adopted deer. They have adopted us! Every time we go out for a walk we bump into this mother deer and her two fawns. The fawns are growing rapidly. The threesome appears to reside in the woods behind our houses. Moreover, since you can’t hunt with firearms inside our town, all kinds of deer are turning up everywhere. They are unafraid – almost tame, you might say. You will find them in broad daylight in our yards. They have eaten everything, even the geraniums. Some of us talk to them. In return, they stare at us and twitch their ears. Soon they will be moving in with us. We don’t believe we’re ready!
