Standing-room only ...
If you want a business meeting to end more quickly, have everyone stand up. This according to management consultants, university researchers and Queen Victoria (ruler of Great Britain from 1837 until 1901). The queen kept her privy council on its toes – literally.
A study published in the Journal of Applied Psychology several years ago and done by University of Missouri-Columbia researchers confirms stand-up meetings to be 34 percent faster and decisions just as effective. So this is why we always stood up when the boss walked into our office!
